The final game week of the season saw an opportunity for the hosts, Slavoj Podolí to win the division by claiming all three points after suffering their first loss of the season last game week.  The opposition was mid-table side TJ Sokol Stodůlky who, after coming off of a draw in the pervious game week were surely eager to play spoiler for Podolí’s title hopes.

The first half started off with some disjointed play and the hosts quickly found themselves behind after just 12 minutes of play.  A counter attack down Podolí’s left hand side finished with a cross to the far post where Stodůlky’s unmarked Vondráček volleyed in the match’s opening goal.  The first half continued in much of the same way with loose Podolí passing leading Stodůlky counter attacks.  Both teams were able to create a few more chances with Podolí able to capitalize on one just before half time.  An attack down the left-hand side saw a Podolí shot hit off the far post and late arriving Hellingman was able to punch in the equalizer shortly before the break.

With the half time score 1:1 the head trainer Josef Jarolím gave a passionate half time talk and this seemed to wake his side up.  The second half began with a Podolí attack down the right-hand side with Lukáš Svoboda able to swing a cross into Jůzek who was just unable to convert the opportunity.  Cheered on by their supporters the hosts’ tails were up as they pushed for the goal that would clinch the title.  Wave after wave of Podolí attacks were met with resolute goalkeeping and a wall of Stodůlky defenders.  A cross from the left-hand side was headed on target by Lukáš Svoboda but was well saved by the Stodůlky keeper.  Further crosses were met by Jůzek’s head but they did not find the back of the net.  Still Podolí pushed forward, Kristen found himself alone with the keeper but the Stodůlky keeper was able to get low to push his shot out for a corner kick.  Finally, the breakthrough came with less than 5 minutes left in the skipper Jůzek pounced on a rebound and struck home the winner from just outside of the 6-yard box.  The final whistle sounded shortly after and Slavoj Podolí were crowned champions of the division.  The team will enjoy a short summer break before gearing up for the new season in the Prague Championship (Pražský přebor).

Thank you to the supporters and anyone who was able to come out and watch at any point during this season.

On a personal note; I would like to thank the club, players, coaches and supporters for welcoming me into the club.  It has been a really positive experience that I will not forget.  Děkuji moc a mnoho štěstí!

Hodnocení trenéra: První půli jsme prospali, nehráli jsme, co jsme si řekli a co jsme chtěli.
